Casing pipes — PVC, MS and G.I

Engineered for your ground

We match the casing material to your ground conditions — chosen after a survey, then supplied and installed with the well.

How the three casing materials compare, so you can weigh the trade-offs.

PVC casing
Corrosion-free

PVC casing

PVC casing does not corrode, which makes it the default choice for most water wells. It is light to handle, quick to install, and unaffected by the mineral content that eats steel over time.

Mild steel casing
Structural strength

Mild steel casing

Mild steel casing is what we use when the ground demands mechanical strength — unstable formations, or depths where PVC would be at risk. It is stronger than PVC and specified when the bore itself needs structural support.

Galvanised iron casing
Long service life

Galvanised iron casing

Galvanised iron casing carries a zinc coating that resists corrosion far longer than bare steel, combining the strength of steel with a longer service life.

How to choose your casing

A quick guide — the surest answer comes from surveying your site.

Sandy or loose soil

The priority is preventing collapse and keeping the water clean.

Recommendation

PVC casing for corrosion-free longevity.

Hard rock strata

Dense ground needs mechanical strength and stiff walls.

Recommendation

Mild steel (MS) for structural stability.

Saline or coastal ground

High salt content corrodes bare metal over time.

Recommendation

PVC or galvanised iron (G.I) for corrosion resistance.

Supplied and installed together

The casing is fitted by the same team that drills your well — not a separate contractor. The material is matched to your ground and installed right after drilling, before the bore can move.

Where casing fits

Casing is installed right after drilling, before the bore can shift.

  1. 01

    Site survey

We assess your ground and water table first, so the plan fits your site.

  2. 02

    Drilling

Modern rigs bore to the depth your site actually needs.

  3. 03

    Casing

We line the well with PVC, MS or G.I casing to keep it stable and clean.

  4. 04

    Pump installation

We fit and wire the pump, then test the flow.

  5. 05

    Handover

Final testing, and a working well handed over to you.

Frequently asked questions

PVC suits most standard wells and resists corrosion; mild steel adds strength for deep or unstable ground; galvanised iron combines strength with a long service life. We recommend the right one after surveying your site.
